Union street, in Knight's addition,
at a cost of about $4,700. Oscar
Efrgen is to be the builder.
Another, a $4,000 home, is to be
built at 1380 N. 15th street, for D.
L. Bond. This is another one and
a half story structure.
At 1482 Court street James S.
Stewart is planning, to erect a one
story' dwelling to cost about
$4,500.

placed one standard quart of gas
oline in the fuel tank, and sealed
it up. The machine was then run
under Its own power, from an
auxiliary tank?, to the fairgrounds,
where the auxiliary tank was seal
ed, and the motor run until the
carburetor, a regular De Luxe
Schebler model, was entirely dry.
The first tank, containing a
quart of ordinary Richfield gas
was then ansealed, the supply
turned Into the carburetor, the
machine started. The route cov
ered Included the run to Hubbard
and, return to the fairgrounds
north of Salem, and thence east on
the Silverton highway. viantll the
