The guests were receiyed In thf drawing room by the hostesses. Mr. Karl B. Kugel, Mrs. F. G. owersox, Mrs. Frank Powers, Mrs. George M. Brown, Mrs. Ho- ni.-r Goulet, Mrs. Edgar Hartley, Mrs. Frederick Hill Thompson, Mr?. A. N. Moores, Mrs. Alice H Dorid and Mrs. Louis Lachmund assisted abont-the rooms. Baskets of white and red roses were attractively arranged in the main hall. Roses and canterbury bells of pink and white were the decorations of the living rooms. The serving table in the dining room was lovely with Its bowl of pastel sweet peas and baby breath circled with tall pink tapers. During the afternoon Mrs. W. C. Hawley, Mrs. C. P. Bishop Mrs. Thomas B. Kay and Mrs. W; K Kirk presided at the urns.Irs Charles ll. McNary and Mrs. ?. K Spaulding cut ices. Small will be happy to know of her rapid recovery from an operation which she underwent last week at a Sa lem hospital. Mrs. Small is ex pected home today. Mrs. Harold Brady Honors Miss Lartwright With Attractive Luncheon Mrs. Harold Brady entertained on Monday with an attractive luncheon honoring Miss Gladys Cartwright. Miss Deckebach won the prize of the afternoon, cards being in play following the luncheon. Covers were placed at the lunch eon table, centered witn an ar rangement of centerbury bells and delphinium for the honor guest. Miss Gladys Cartwright, Miss Bradeley of San Francisco, Mrs. Ercel Kay, Mrs. Gus Hixon, Miss Helen Deckebach, Mrs. Brazier C. Small, Miss Florence Cartwright and the hostess, Mrs. Harold Brady. Joy Turner Moses Will Present Dunning and Intermediate Pupils Tonight Joy Turner Moses will present her Dunning and intermediate pi ano and violin pupils in recital tonight at 8 o'clock in Waller Hall. Joan Evans, vocalist, and Peggy Saddler, reader, will as sist. The public is invited to attend this recital. William Wallace Graham Will Present Salem Puvils Tomorrow Evening William Wallace Graham will present his Salem violin pupils in recital tomorrow evening, July 1, at 8.30 o'clock in Waller Hall This will be Mr. Graham's annual recital in Salem and the public is invited tor attend. St. Olaf Lutheran Choir Will Appear in Concert in Silverton Tonight The St. Olaf Lutheran choir of Korthneld, Minn., conducted by F. Melius Christiansen, will appear in concert this evening in the high school auditoriutn in Silverton at 8:15 o'clock. This concert is an ticipated with much interest. Miss Nina Par risk Will Soend Shimmer in Saettle Miss Nina Parrish left last Fri day for Seattle where she will re main for the summer as the guest of her sister, Mrs. E. M. Cox. Mrs. W. W. Moore Recovering Rapidly Friends of Mrs. W. W. Moore. who underwent an operation in a Salem haspital last week, will rejoice to know that she is recov ering rapidly and it is expected that she will return to to her home some time next week. Woman's Benefit Association Will Picnic at Fair Grounds Tonight Members of the Woman's Bene fit association with their families will meet tonight at the state fair grounds. A picnic supper will be served at 6:30 o'clock. Dr. Warner Attends Seabeck Conference Dr. Estella Ford Warner is at tending the YWCA conference which is .in session at Seabeck this week. Keene and Miss Eleanor McClalne in the Keene home. Pattons Go to Agate Beach Mr. and Mrs. Hal D. Patton. with their daughters Marie and Jean Patton, left yesterday for Agate Beach. Mrs. Patton and ber daughters will spend the sum mer at their beach home there, al though Mr. Patton will return to Salem after the Fourth.' Mrs. Hosford Will Spend July Month at Seaside Mrs. J. B.
