Herbert Lyons of Seattle was
arrested for drunkenness yesterday
and later upon paying a fine of

Several members of the Salem
School board waited patiently in
the rain last evening for over half
an hour, wondering why the others
did not appear, only to discover
that yesterday fell one day short
of being the second Tuesday in
the month. The meeting was
