Nancy Lou. the two months old daughter of the hosts, will cele brate her first Thanksgiving at this time. Nancy Lou bears the names of her paternal and her matcrnl grandmothers. Miss Brown, the out-of-town guest in the group, is a member of the University of Oregon fac ulty. Mrs. Walker Will Spend Winter in South Mrs. C. M. Walker w11 leaveqa Saturday morning for the south where she will spend the winter months. Mrs. Walker will go first to Long Beach where she will visit at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. H. Koltes. Later Mrs. Walker plans a trip into Arizona before returning to Salem. Interest in Fine Arts Building Campaign is Widespread Even a Thanksgiving holiday has not dimmed the interest of a widespread Salem public in the immense effort which is being made this week to raise 41000 for the Fine Arts Memorial building at Eugene. The yellow tags, bades of an unswerving loyalty to the finest that civilization has made possible, will be sold by the thousands on Saturday at 25 cents each. Those who buy, and those who wear, these badges, will have the assurance that they have definitely contributed to the building of one of the finest archi tectural monuments in the state. The men of the local service clubs have heard of the campaign at their luncheon meetings this week. On Monday T. A. Livesley spoke to the Chamber of Com merce on the importance of the project. Carl Gabrielson present ed the tag day obligation to the Kiwanians on Tuesday, while on Wednesday David W. Eyre pre sented information concerning the Memorial Fine Arts building at a meeting of the Rotary club. Mrs. George H. Alden interest ed the group of women who com prise the membership of the Town and Gown club in the movement. Judge and Mrs. H. J. Bean Entertain With Thanksgiving House-Party The spacious home of Judge and Mrs. 11. J. Bean on Court street is the scene today of an enjoyable Thanksgiving house party. In the group are Mr. and Mrs. Will Ingram of Portland. Mrs. Ft K. Locke and daughter. Miss Beatrice Locke of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. II. J. Larsen -of Port land, Miss Maude Covington and the hosts. Judge and Mrs. H. J. be served at 2 o'clock. A bowl of yellow chrysanthemums will cen ter the table and yellow candles' will burn in crystal holders. Thanksgiving Dinner at C. P. Bishop Home Today For Ten Covers will be placed for ten at the Thanksgiving dinner at which Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Bishop will be hosts today at their attractive home on Court street. Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Roberts and daughter, Imogene, who motored down from Hood River last night, will remain at the Bishop home over the week-end. A centerpiece of yellow chry santhemums and fern will center the table.
