Gillon of Duluth, Minn.. in Salem on Friday when he will begin a week's visit with Salem relatives. Mrs. Gillon, Mrs. Lin- foot's mother, has been her house guest since last May. Annual YWCA-MCA Reception Is Event of Saturday Night The outstanding social event In Willamette university circles since the opening of the school was sponsored oa Saturday night in the gymnasium when the TMCA and YWCA groups on the campus entertained at the annual formal reception honoring faculty and students. Miss Weller Spends Sunymer in New York Miss Elma Weller, one of Sa lem's music teachers, is expected home in the very near future from New York where she has spent; the summer in study. Miss Weller has devoted a considerable amount of her time to a review of the Dunning Method, studying with Mrs. Carrie Louise Dunning, the originator of the system. Miss Weller has also spent some inspirational weeks of piano study with Carol Robinson, the distin quished American pianist, who has been presented in Salem on several occasions. While in New York Mis3 Weller has been a house-guest of Miss Robinson. 1 Miss Weller will open her stu dio on October 16.
