The Valley Motor had won iti

These games had been protested
because,- of the use of Ineligible
players by the Valley "Motor and
K. C. teams.
The revised standings caused
by; .this new ruling bring four
teams Into - a tie for first place,
with five games won and four lost.
These teams are the Grotto,
Bankers-K.of C. and Paper Co.
The Legion- team - has won three
games and lost four. It has three
more games to play to the other
teams' one, and if it wins them
all. Has a chance at the pennant.
Nothing will be done about
playing the championship games
until the last of the . postponed
games has been played. A play
off series to decide the league
championship will be necessary if
the present tie is not broken by
the end of the season.

the races by Kentuckians, who
little realised that 143 years ago,
a man of Revolutionary war fame
bet a mare on a horse race, iwas
arrested and deemed, "an infam
ous gambler." j
