Plans are rapidly being v hipped
into shape for the Northwest con
ference track meet to be held here
Saturday afternoon on 8 wee tl and
field, and which will be partici
pated In by six ! colleges. The
schools that will take part in the
events are College of Idaho, Col
lege of Puget Sound, Pacific uni
versity, Whitman -university, Lin
field college and Willamette uni

Owing to the fact that several
of the schools are at some dis
tance from Salem, each institu
tion will be -limited to a team of
eight men, in order not to handi
cap those at a great distance away:
Fourteen events are listed for
the day and the meet will follow
the regular national collegiate or
der of events. It Will be the first
conference, track meet to be held
in Salem. An official meeting of
representatives of the schools par
ticipating in the meet -will be held
