DEIUS DEFEAT PEP BY IB TO 8 Opener of Industrial League Featured by Lutz, Third Sacker In a loosely played game, the De Molars won from the P. E. P. Co. by a score of 16 to 9. Tues day evening, in the opening game of the Industrial League. Poor fielding and errors were chiefly responsible for the large score as there was no heavy hitting done on either side. The De Molays opened the scor ing in the first on a hit, a walk, and an error. Their big inning came in the second when they scored nine. Most of these re sulted from wa'lts, errors, and poor fielding. The final scores for the winners were made in the next inning. The P. E. P. Co. tried hard to tie the score in the third, sending all of 'their nine runs across the plate. The hitting of Lutz, De Molay one Ul tells its own '" j ' R. J. ReynoIds;Tobacco at Armorii third baseman, was the feature of the game. He smasbJed out tw6 singles and one double in three trips at bat. Neither hurler received good support in the field, as. hto men were in poor condition after a winters rest. Tomorrowfs game will be play ed between the Valley Motor and Knights of Columbus.
