A big three-day Junior tennis champion ship tournament on May 27.28'and 29. Including all the high schools to the .jQuth central Oregon district,-was' announced today by E. F". Abercrombie, tennis coach. The- university is combining with the city of Eugene to further the present interest in tennis as a competitive sport, and, since Eu gene is the third tennis center in the state, Portland and Salem be ing the other two, it is hoped that this tournament will stimulate in terest ia-the game, v The tonrnament will be held on the university's ten cement courts, which are considered the best in the northwest.
