JOSEPH, Mo., Feb. 5.4 ( By Associated Press.) The late Senator William Andrews Clark, copper king of Montana, was not the William Andrews Clark, dap per Stewartsville. Mo., druggist who deserted his wire and three small daughters to elope with Anna Pierce, a family servant" to 1879, according to Mrs. Amanda Cottreel, 73, of Amity, Mo., sister of the druggist. Mrs. Cottreel's three nieces, Mrs. Addie Miller of Denver; Mrs. Effie McWilliams of Clarksdale. hoth'formerlv of St. Josenh. and Mrs. Alma Hines of Orrick, Mcf., daughters of the former Stewarts ville druggist, are suing to break the will of the copper king in or der that they may share in his 850,000,000 estate. They have instituted legal proceedings . to prove he was their father. In a long distance conversation with William Cottrell, husband of Mrs. Amanda' Cottrell. who -wis unable to answer the call, the Et Joseph Gazette obtained biograph ical data on the 'Stewartsville Clark which was in no way simi lar to that of the multi-million aire Clark published in 'WhoJs Who In America." The Clark who disappeared from Stewartsville In 1879 was born in Indiana In 1846, the Cottrells said and came to Missouri with other members of the family in 186$, when he was 19 years old. The family first lived at Bethany and later settled near Clarksdale and Obituary - Campbell .. . Mrs. Ly dla Campbell. a resident of Salem for many years, died at Salem Heights Thursday after noon at 1:30 o'clock.- Mrs. Camp bell had been seriously 111 since about November 10. She is sur vived by Mrs. H. F. Schaldach, a daughter,' now living in New York City, , Mrs. J. C. Woodbury, a granddaughter of Corvallls, and a grandson, T. C. Campbell ot Ker by. Ore. Mrs. Woodbury was pres ent when Mrs. Campbell passed away. The body was sent to Port land for cremation following fu neral services .held at a local un dertaking parlor today.'
