ern Oregon by large scores; and
Salem has been undefeated by high
schools this season, winning the
Willamette valley championship.

The Salem Rod and Gun club
will hold a regular meeting on next
! Wednesday night to make -plans
for a big turkey shoot. Sunday,
December 13 has been set as the
tentative date for the shoot. More
than 250 birds will be available.

The state land board on Janu
ary 26 of next year will open bid3

Klamath county. This is the larg
est sale of timber, ever negotiated
by the state land board, according
to announcement made by mem
bers of the board. Three thousand
acres of land on which the timber
stands will not be offered for sale

000 feet of yellow pine has been
fixed by the board at $3.50 per
1000 feet. : Approximately 835.-
000 feet of white fir has been ap
praised at 50 cents per 1000 feet
and 185,000 feet of incense cedar
