Friday that the receipts of the
Thanksgiving day game staged on
Sweetland field between Salem and
Franklin high! school of Portland
are satisfactory. Salem cleared
over $200 on the game, he report
ed. The grandstand, which is sup
posed to have a seating capacity of
3.000, was filled to overflowing,
and standing room-was in use dur
ing the game, although a good
share of the crowd were composed
of students from Salem and Wil
lamette, who were admitted on
their student tickets. .
