Episcopal Bazaar
7 Many Salem "women will avail
themselves of the opportunity to
purchase attractive Christmas
gifts at the bazaar which the
ladies of St. Paul's Episcopal
church are sponsoring at the par
ish house. A tea table will be ar
ranged for the "afternoon.
Bridge and
"Five Hundred" Tea .
' An interesting bridge and "500"
tea is being planned for Tuesday
afternoon, November 24, by the
Bocial afternoon club of the East
ern Star. The event will- open at
2 o'clock in the afternoon at the
Eastern. Star hall in the Masonic
building. Members of the order
and their friends will be guests of
the afternoon. Reservations should
be madet with Mrs. A. L. Wallace,
chairman of the' committee in
charge.

George Nelson with an enjoyable
afternoon of bridge, providing the
diversion. Mrs. - E. C. Charlton
and Mrs. Otto Hoppes were in
vited for the occasion. Pink and
white chrysanthemums were used
in a floral way about the rooms.
The high honors of the afternoon
were won by Mrs. Charlton and
Mrs. Zellar.

Mrs. C. E. Schenk of Seattle
was the guest of her sister, Mrs.
James Sykes for two weeks re

bride of a few weeks, a nephew

urday all returning to Seattel on
Sunday.
