School Board Faces Deficit
According to present indications
the school board will be- confront
ed with a deficit by the end of the
school year. George Hug, city
superintendent, reports that he
has Just received a bill for electric
work done on the school building.
The bill is for $944.18, which is
not provided for in the budget re
cently passed upon.

liberty street has brought to light
that he has a sea biscuit that is
76 years old. It is said to have
been brought across the ocean in
1849, Mrs. Farrar, grandmother
of Salem's postmaster, John Far
rar, having brought it ashore.
