knew, but a little later It will ex
plain the reason to you.
On October 23. 1922. I left
Warsaw. New York, with my wife
and two sons, Lloyd and Harold,
to visit my son, Roy H, Smith,
wjio lives at 480 South Twenty-
third stret, Salem, Oregon. The
trip' was by auto, which we all
enjoyed very much; arriving in
your city November 24, covering
a distance of 4380 miles;, making
the trip in 33 days all o. k.
Afte rarriving there I rented
of Mr. Donnell his home all furn
ished till the first ot April, when
we got a telegram calling us
home on account of sickness, and
death a little later.
While in your city we; liked it
very much.

School Program Givci
Pupils ,of the Waconda school
gave a very interesting program
Friday night which waa attended
by over 125 residents of the dis
trict. Refreshments were served

The fire department was called
last night to quench a fire said
