plants In other foreign countries
and the United States. Production
has begun and while facilities at

forty per cent increase despite a
national catastrophe. Japan now
has 20,000 registered motor cars
and tracks. China has 10,000.
Japanese maidens are not so
shy as fiction would have us be
lieve, as shown by this snapshot.
They admired the Chrysler road

its owner "snapped" them.
That road hogs are fortunately
becoming scarcer every day they
are nearly all killed off.
That the road hog has a rival
n the ignoramus who cuts iu
ahead of you and clips your front
wheel. There should he a rear
round open season for shooting
these birds.
That a bold bill board at the
South Salem city limits on the
highways reads "Welcome to Sil-
verton." It says other things, but
the above line is about all the
tourist has time to read at 40
miles an hour.
That the steel work and trestle
work on the new Harrlsburg high
way bridge is about completed
and it is practically ready for the
paved floor. Harrlsburg will soon
have a ferry "for Bale at a bar

That a lot of fellows never get
in a hurry until they are seated at
an automobile steering wheel;
That a law should be passed
and rigidly enforced prohibiting
small coupes from carrying more
than three people on the highway.
That one hand drivers should
be classed along with the drunken
drivers. -Neither is either safe or
sane.
That the looting of wrecked cars
whose owners have been disabled
and taken to the nearest hospital
should be made a penitentiary of
tense. Accident victims already
have troubles enough.
