leaves today for a two weeks' va
cation from his post. The first
part of his vacation will be 'spent

Officer Emery James. Lee George,
and Bud Welch. The four left
early this morning. During the
absence of Chief Minto,- Sergeant
George White will be acting chief.

crease in the number of tourists

George W. Lemon died at the
home of his son near.' Liberty,
September C, at the age of 86.
He is survived by a sister. Mrs.
Lizzie Monroe of Los Anareles; two
daughters. Mrs. C. E. McLane of

of Oregon City and one son. Fred
Lemon of Salem. - Funeral service
