MEETING OF INTEREST to
club women throughout the
county was held yesterday after
noon! at the Child Health Demon
stration building on State stret.
The meeting was' called to order
by, Mrs. E. E. Fisher: who has re
cently been appointed by the coun
ty federation president Mrs. W.
W, Allen of Mill Cityas chair
' man of child welfare work in the
county. The appointment goes to
' i club worker of particulaj capa
bility hi this line.. Mrs. Fisher
has' been active ' In- this type . of
work for more than six years, hav
ing been the organizer of the child
health clinics that hare been con
ducted in Salem from year to year
since 1919. ."'-:.'

A delightful afternoon affair of
yesterday was the informal tea at
which Miss .Gladys Wilson and
Miss Carolyn Wilson were hos
tesses . honoring Miss Ruth Bed
ford, who leaves early in Septem
ber for Chicago where she will
continue l her musical studies

Miss Jennette Honor Zell and
Mr. Harold A. Baulig were united
in marriage on Friday. August

performed in the newly built and
completely furnished home of. the
young couple at the corner, of
Nineteenth and Nebraska avenue.
Mr. and Mrs. J. ,H. Campbell
plan to leave .on Monday by way
to the 10th of October. They will
arrive in Salem again (he latter
part of that month.
