ment has approved the work and
thU county must concur In the

The Detroit-Niagara road' will
be. when completed, one of the
most scenic drives' In the United
States. It will, however, be a road
where the driver must exercise
care in the operation of his auto
mobile. In some places it is im
possible for two machines to meet.
and past.es have been arranged for
that purpose.
. I'p to the present time no means
of egress has been available for
the people living In that district.
although a road deputy has been
kept there and assessments levied.
The county is out nothing In
building the road, as the assess
ments have accumulated to the
amount of $30,000. the cost of
the present hfghwar.
The road will not be paved, but
Is to be dressed with a fine coat
of crushed rock. This will be com
pieted in a short time. The con
tractor who was allowed $3 a yard
for rocking the highway, has set
his crusher In the road and takes
an nis material rrom the side of
the hills.
