Here Is a trne utory. reinforc

Thursday morning, the wife heard
what appeared to be a man walk

floor was otherwise . unoccunied
that night. The husband wanted
to
go upstairs and investigate.

would without a doubt shoot her
husband if he ventured upstairs.
Soj the walking and rummaging
went ' on. Finally, after what
seemed an age to thewife, the
supposed: man started down
stairs, a slow step at a time. It
was all very plain. There could
be no mistake about some one be
ing; in the bouse. Then the sup
posed man knocked over a piece
of jrurniture in the living room,
witji a loud noise. Finally, against
the protests of the wife, the hus
band peeked through the door
and: saw a large owl! The night

workmen. Then the poor bewild
