SALEM A SWINE BREEDING CENTER
'Salem has become a swine breeding xentcr; has done
this in the past six years; the Salem district has increased its
swine breeding industry in this time to about five times its
size at the beginning of the period

20,800 hogs it was annually using, and outside the Salem trad

and is now able to get all its hogs locally. . :. "f ;; .;. ' .
! n ly What is more, this plant has been more than doubled in
capacityyandTbroughtfaght down to date; to the last minute;
and it will before long be using 52,006 hogs a year, and getting
. them all from the Salem district, ! '

large poultry industry; has made Marion the -leading corn
