they had ever met. though they
are both over 60 years of age. Mr.

Wreck Victim Very Low
-i Reports from, the hospital are
to the effect that E. L. Briggs,
Civil War veteran, is verv low. Mr
Briggs was struck by a hit and run
motorist a few weeks ago while
crossing the street In the east nart
oi tne city. He received a frac
tured skull. Due to his advanced
age his injuries were such that It
is doubtful if he will recover .The
identity , of the motorist was not
learned neither was, the license
plate number remembered. ,
