Turner's eighth grade class of
13 were graduated Thursday eve
ning, also two from the Crawford
school jqined the class. County
Superintendent Fulkerson gave
one of her, inspiring talks, and
together with the program a very
pleasant evening was spent. The
eighth and, seventh grades, with
their teacher, Mrs. Ella England
of Salem, met at 5' o'clock for a

Mrs, Guy Chapman and sons of
Portland spent several days with

The Turner high school alumni
met last Saturday evening at the
gymnasium with over 25 present,
Professor Bidgood was there, and
a few other guests. After a short
business session, games and an
abundance of ice cieam and cake
were passed.
Mrs. E. C. Baker and Mrs. F.
J. Lyle are attending, the Portland
rose show.
" s ' Bishop Shepherd and five dis
trict superintendents will be at
the Methodist church next Monday
noon, when a- dinner will be
served. They will give their talks
at that hour as their stop will be

friend and neighbor, passed from
among us Wednesday. He was at
a neighbor's barn when the end
came, due to heart failure. He
leaves a wife, Mrs. Mary Morri
son, a daughter, Mrs. Vera East
man of Marysvllle, Cal.. a son,
Ralph, and a grandson. Ralph, Jr..
