crowd . and everyone was pleased
with the work done by the high
school students. Those who car
ried out their parts exceptionally
well were Louie Dawes, the right
ful heir; Si Flack as Skeet Kelly,
the hotel flerk: LaVelie Hill as
the spinster; Aunt Jubilee, the
colored cook who was bearing
spooks and burglars, which was
taken by Franees Olla; Jim Rjrk
er, Robert OHn. the lawyer, which
was a Tery difficult part; Mollie
Macklin, the housekeeper, -played
.by Zenith Perdue, who won the
audience by her simple manner
and fitness for the part, and Elsie
the nervous bride, which was tak
en by Lulu Bell Daoivaa. Other
characters were Diana Garwood,
the heiress, Martha, Sarpola;. Ira
Stone, .the villain, Arthur Mason;
Henrietta Darby, the widow, Lola
Ram bo; Ted, the- groom, Verl
Gooch; Senator MeCorkle, the
father, Anton Moravec.
A hot and close election, only
to be compared by national ones,
was held in Mill City high school
for the election of student body
officers for the coming year. The
outcome of the election was. as fol
lows:' President, Frank Smith;
vice president. Edna Pekasky;
secretary, Lola Rambo; treasurer,
Anton Moravec; censor, 'Bessie
Wells; sergeant at arms, Clayton
