and baseball squads underwent
their final work in. preparation for
the dual contests to be held on
the' Willamette field this after
noon. The baseball team. will close
their season in tbe game to be
played with the College of Se
attle at that time and the track
squad will meet the Linfleld col

Members of both squads are in
good condition -lor the contests,
and it is expected that an inter
esting game and meet will be held.

hfeh school by a score of -6 to 3 on
tfce St. Paul diamond making the
sjcond victory by the local team
daring this season. ; .
Smith of the Parrish team se
cured three hits more than other
members of the two teams. This
lead gave the Parrish players the
advantage which the St. Paul
players could not overcome.
f The Coffan brothers, formed the
Rob Bishop is back on the job
again as manager of the Junior
Twilight league. For awhile he
hobbled around on a bum peg and
did not do much business for his,
organization. He is batting fine,
however, and the Junior '.baseball
players are to have some good

cided tomorrow on the Silrer Falls
diamond in Silverton. Two games
will be played, one between the
grade schools and the other to de
cide the winner of the high school

and Gervais high school nines will

will start at 1 o'clock., i

event the county is divided Into

teams in each class. These teams
then proceed with the elimination
contest, the winners of each di
vision meeting for the champion

The baseball game is the last
of county school events scheduled
for the yfar, and ranks next to the
track and field meets in import

one for the high school entrants
and one for the grade teams.

The WOW took a victory from
the PEPs last night at Oxford
Field by a score of 4 to 0- In spite
of the one sided score, a good

teams.' Both were well matched,
