was held in the Masonic . Hall

of the evening a social hour with

met together at the Star, Theatre

The senior class of the" Stayton
high school 'went to Seal Rock
Friday for their annual week end
picnic. ' The rain of Saturday
night and Sunday dampened their
spirit, somewhat, however they re
turned, damp, but still happy. The
juniors went to Taylor grove
where their . outing place was
equally damp but nearer home.

John Vanhandle were taken to a
Salem hospital last week when
each underwent an operation.

BONFIRE PLANNED
Willamette Stndents to Stage Oet-
Together Event Tonight
The Willamette University stu
dents will have a bonfire and get
.together meeting ' tonight along
the -mill race back of the Wil
lamette athletic field. The pur
pose of the meeting-is to set before
the students the desirability of at
tending the Seabeck summer camp
to be held on Puget - Sound this
summer for the benefit of those
students interested in christian
work -and Ideals.
Dr. "Carl Gregg Doney, president
of Willamette, will speak at that
time and as, a further attraction
the university quartette will ren
der a few selections. A numbei of
the students who : have been to
Seabeck or intend : to go will ex
plain the purpose of the summer
camp and tell why they think it
to be worth while. -
A hot-dog feed iwill be given
for the university stndents who
wish to attend and it is expected
that the fraternities will use the
meeting as a regular fnter-fra-ternity
gtet-together.
