Opening the Twilight league at

team dereated the Oregon National
Guard 4 to 0 in a fast five-inning
game last night. ; A good sized
crowd attended the opener.
Hooper, who hurled for the
Loggers last year, pitched a good
game, striking out nine men. lie
was given better support than he
received last fear. Lanke. a very
promising youngster, . pitched a
good game foe the Guardsmen, but
was handicapped by poor infield

aggregation but' have had little
practice together. A feature of
the game was a double play by
the Guardsmen in the second In

-Experience -proves superiority of western lubricants
As a matter of fact, the most suitable crude petroleum!
so far discovered for the manufacture of a motor lubri-
cant is the naphthenic base crude which this company
obtains from Pacific Coast wells. And the most ad
vanced refining process is the patented high-vacuum
process used exclusively bythis company in the man
ufacture of Zerolene lubricants. !
Zerolene is first choice of western motorists
Zerolene lubricates more cars in the Pacific Coast
states than any other oil made. Six out of the seven
trophies offered in the 1924 Los Angeles-Camp Curry

cars. The "anti-western" bogie simply; doesn't

cars and motor trucks alike. , I j . i
