Hn was three up on Gus Hixson at
the lllihee Country club ' golf
course. This was their third round
and going into the last . nine holes
the match, was still square. Mac
Laughlin, with the use of his new
approach iron took the first three
holes and maintained this advant
age until the seventh. This put
Hixson dorme, and through his
failing to negotiate a curling putt,
lost the match 3 to 1.
The course is being prepared
for the inter-valley match Sunday.
Winter rules have been abolished
and the ball is now being played
where it lies, according to Graham
P. Sharkey, professional. The
mowers have been speedily orer
