me was a lawyer after reading
the newspapers the next day. I
do not know the man's name. All
I know is that; his father was po
lice commissioner.

from there we went on to Fresno.
We ran all night and got the paper
at Fresno. We then lived In Cali
fornia. Arizona and Texas. We
came to Oregon about July, 1924,
and went on to Seattle, Wenatchee
and Yakima, and then came back
to Oregon and located just out of
Kugene. Tnis man we Kinea was
In th good residence district, but
I could not say just what part of
Sacramento it: was. We sold the
automobile In Los Angeles and
did not hare a machine when we
came back to? Oregon.

ished by C. S. Morrill, superin
tendent of the California state bu
reau of criminal identification and
investigation. (Moor is known un
der several names and has served
much time i penal institution?
during the last 10 years. Among-
his aliases are R. C. White, C. R
White, Mac JMoore and Clifford
Rolland Moore. He was received
at the Oregon penitentiary under
the name of C R. Moor. ' Records
show that he has been confined
in the Indiana reformatory. Fol-
som, San Quentin, Reno and Den
ver. !
In September. 1924, while being
returned to Eugene from Clinton
Iowa, where j he was arrested for
the theft of an automobile. Moor
attacked the! deputy sheriff with
a monkey wrench near Fort Mor
gan, fracturing the officer's skull
Warden Dalrymple has advised
Sacramento authorities that Moor
is under custody and can be turn
ed over to them when desired.
Mrs. Moore who had been stay
ing In a local rooming house with
a friend, Mrs. Rose Parker, re
turned to her home In Eugene last
Ritnrilir. Mrs. Parker was not
In the office at the time the con
fession was made, but waited with
the two children in the prison
vard. ' She said she - knew some
paper had been signed, but was in
ignorance otjts nature.
