season when agricultural commun
ities are working at top-speed, not
as large a crowd, was on hand as
usual, but thoroughly enjoyed the
offerings of Mr. Reigelman and
Mr. McDonald. Mr. Reigelman's
interpretation of a selection from
Mark - Twain, America's premier
humorist, was especially well re
ceived, as was'Mr. McDonald's "On
the Road to Mandalay.!' words by
Kipling, which gave him an op
portunity to use his fine baritone
to excellent advantage.

the offices are closed at noon, but
yesterday the supreme court of
fices joined the list of others and
shortly after 2 ' o'clock the cur
tains were pulled and the door
locked at the governor's office.

"My new sedan was' stolen this
morning between 8 and 12," J. M.
Skaife complained to the police
shortly after noon, Saturday. The
vehicle, driven less than 500 miles,
was ready for a trip to The Dalles
and contained the family lunch.
Officer Walter Thompson reported
in the station shortly after Ser

parted in search of the vehicle
which had been left near the state
house by Miss Skaife. Officer
