Special Sunday School

SILVERTON. March 11. (Spe

WITH SAGE TEA
If Mixed With Sulphur it Darken
. So Naturally Nobody
Can Tell.
The old-time mixture of Sage
Tea and Sulphur for darkening
gray, streaked and faded hair is
grandmother's recipe, and folks
are again using it to keep their
hair a good, even color, which is
quite sensible, as we are living in
an age when a youthful appearance-is
of the greatest advantage.
Nowadays, though, we "don't
have the troublesome task of gath
ering the sage and the mussy mix
ing at home. All drug stores sell
the ready-to-use product, improv
ed by the addition of other ingred
ients, called "Wyeth's Sage and
Sulphur Compound. It is very
popular because nobody can dis
cover it has been applied. Simply
moisten your comb or a soft brush
with it and draw this through
your hair, taking one small stranc
at a time; by morning the gra:
hair disappears, but what delights
the ladies with Wyeth's Sage am"
Sulphur Compound is that, be
sides - beautifully darkening the
hair after a few applications, i
also produces that soft lustre ant'
appearance of abundance which ii
so- attractive. -Adv.

Adam Burns Returns Home
v After Trip to California
Adam Burns has returned to his
residence at 2308 Trade after a
lengthy visit in California, where
he visited Oakland, San Francisco,
Ljs Angeles, San Diego, Pasadena,
Long Beach and many other Cali
fornia points. According to Mr.
Burns the weather is very mild
there with much sunshine. How
ever, he is glad to get back home,
because he states there are too
many people in Los Angeles. In
addition it is dry and he is glad to
get back where things grow like
they do in the Willamette valley.
Mr. Burns took a trip into Mex
ico where he saw the saloons and
gambling dens that are in opera
tion there at this time.
One of the features of the trip,
according to Mr. Burns, was tli
viewing of a newly struck oil wel',
which had been brought in just a
few hours before he arrived there.
The well Is only a lew miles from
Los Angeles. -
