zaga Saturday Night
,fc Willamette unrrereUy, Bearcats
r to tadgle with' the Idaho bas-
- ket ball team tonight at: the new
gymnasium in what is to be con
sidered a stellar match of the sea
son. Last year the Idahoana and
the local varsity team played a
game that was rated a classic In
aketballdom. The team is prac
tically the same, while . Willam
ette comes a little weakened by
graduations, and the depletion of
the Bearcat ranks by sickness.
Emmel has been on the sick list
for a couple of days, but is again
rounding into shape. Neverthe
less, he la not in good form and
there is no chance to give him
the proper workouts, i Herman, a
last-year favorite of lhe ' f rosh
squad, is backf for sport and he is
making some of the regulars fight
hard for their ibexths. Herman
has Just turned out for la- few
nights but Is making himself felt
as a force en the Bearcat team.
Idaho has a good team and they
are-primed to give Willamette a
drubbing. They are in good shape
and they have N'lles, a sensation,
to help them out. In addition
they bring Nelson, their last year's
star.i who fought against Willam
ette. In all." jthey have a formid
able ' force that will' pit itseir
against the mettle of the Bearcat
team this evening. ' " r .' "
Thursday evening the Bearcats
meet Washington State college.
