Governor Pierce yesterday sign
ed the bill approving of a loan not
to exceed $1,500,000 for eastern
Oregon farmers' to use 'in reseed-
ing wheat fields that were ruined
by the cold weather. The bill car
ried an emergency clause and be
came a law upon being signed.
The moneyj from the sinking fund
of the soldiers' bonus and loan
act, will be administered through
the board of control. First mort
gages on' growing ' crops will ' be
