Lone Star Service Station
Serves Free Gas and
Oil Today I
The Lone Star service station
was established a year ago today
by John Williamson, on North
Capitol street, j Mr. Williamson
picked a first . class location for
his business and Salem picked out
a first class , citizen when it got
John Williamson. Mr. Williamson
had several good business ideas
I in his head when be located his
Lone star service station wnere
he did. He perceived that that
section of North Salem i was on
the cards: for rapid and extensive
development along many lines and
he decided to help that develop
ment along. ; He not only built a
f'rst class service station, but he
also put up a first class garage,
a fine dwelling for his family and
is Just now completing a business
building In which will be operated
a stoVe and barber shop. The bar
ber shop Is now? in operat'on and
the store will be open soon to the
public. . Mr. Willamson. during
the year has also built some forty
dwellings in that neighborhood
which he has sold to families de
airing to own their own homes on
the monthly payment plan. He
has equally as extensive plans for
the coming year and North Ealera
will be the gainer.
Mr. Willamson opened his Lone
Star service station a year ago
today and in the honor of the
event and to express his apprecia
tion for the patronage received
during the year he is giving every
customer today a choice of two gal
lons of free gas, or a fca!f fjallou
of free oil for each dollar of r-r-chase
at the service . station. It
will certainly be a busy day iu
