ed again this morning after the
Christmas' holiday vacation. In
order to accommodate the pupils
who formerly attended classes in
the Emerson building which burn
ed to the ground shortly . before
Christmas, a double-, shift is be
ing run in the Washinugton Irvine
building. Those attending class
during the forenoon session have
their gymnasium work in the aft
ernoon, while those attending the
afternoon session do their gym
nasium work during - the 'morning.
All the studying must he done at
home; Books are being furnished
the pupils who lost theirs in the
fire, by the school board. Many
of the pupils will enter new cia3sea

that the purchasing of a new set
of books would be difficult, toe
