Oregon maintained its seven
teenth place in the relative stan
ding of the Btate of the Union
In merchandise exports for the
quarter ended . . September 30,
1924, when its trade in this direc
tion amounted to I13.186.0S4, a
drop of $277,882 from the figures
of the previous quarter, according
to statistics just released by the
Department ot' Commerce.
Wheat topped the list ot com
modities exported with valuations
of $5,578,190. Plank boards and.
scantlings followed, valued at
51,842.283. and then came tim
ber shipments at $1,150,470, and
flour amounting to $1150327.
Grand-totals for the first nine
months of the year give Oregon
export figures of $46923,0S0 and
sixteenth place in the entire list
of states.. Though Minnesota sec
ured eleventh place In relative
standing of the states for the
third quarter of the year. , it ran
