ture. Stock growing, grain grow
ling were among; the first efforts j
or tne farmers. The modern
original company began in a small
way to manufacture furnaces for
heating buildings as Its chief prod
uct. The popularity of this line
of furnaces' was; such that ;the
business grew, rapidly, demanding
larger and larger quarters. A new
building was erected in the fall
of 1924 and the! interests of the
company taken' over by the East
man brothers;' who had been " the
principal parties ; in building up
the business of the Silverfbn Blow
Pipe company. Becoming the sole
owners of the property the East
man brothers decided to have the
trade name of the organization
carry the name of its owners. The
furnaces built by this company
hare; commanded . a world - wide
market, shipments ! having been
made to several! European coun

addition : to - their furnace
building the company has built up
a good business in pipe work of
a general nature. - It makes brass
and copper fittings for many man
ufacturing institutions using com'
pleted parts of metal, lamps and
other fittings- for - Incubators and
similar lines.

newly installed! machinery, the
Eastman ' brothers are in position
to supply the demand for their
goods in a most satisfactory- man
ner to their customers and added
comfort and convenience to their

put at slight additional overhead
