MOVEMENT
IS BEING iTEO
NEW YORK, Nov. 14. Dun's
tomorrow will say: t
"The confidence imparted to
business continues to be reflected
in the freer movement that is no
ticeable in the leading markets,
and this has found expression in
active buying, which has lifted
prices of many basic products,
among them wheat, , cotton and
hides and leather, to a substan
tially higher level. Evidence on
all sides indicates that the mar
kets have begun a readjustment to
a state of freedom and. security
that had previously been jeopar
dized. Stocks continue to rise,
and large funds which have been
withheld are again seeking invest
ment. The weather, which has
militated somewhat against a nor
mal movement of seasonable com
modities, has enabled farmers, es-
a more selective character with the
merchandising, motor and public
utility shares making the best
showing. Fisher Body was the
spectacular feature, soaring 11
points to 191.
: Except for a gain of more than
one point in Baldwin, the so-called
pivotal - industrials showed little
change on the day, American Can
and United States Steel common
each receded - fractionally and
Stndebaker showed a small gain.
Call money held steady at 2 per
cent all day. Time money rates
held steady with a plentiful sup
Ply of funds available. Commer
cial paper rates were unchanged.
The featureof the foreign ex
change market was a further rise
in demand sterling to 4.64, the
highest price since - last summer.
Other European rates showed only
nominal : changes, South American
exchanges strong, the Argentine
and Uruguayan rates reaching, the
year's highest levels.
"HAVE YOU IE Kit LESS
