(Special to The Statesman. ) It seems that Silverton may have 'a real ath letic field at some future date. At least plans to this effect are now under foot. The Silver Falls field usually contains so much water during the fait when foot ball is at its height that playing is disagreeable for .the players. . Movements : ot this sort have been under way at Silverton be fore but have as yei never ma terialized. To L. C. Eastman goea the honor of having originated the present plan. Mr. Eastman also fathered the Silverton swimming pool move which was so success ful at Silverton. The Delbert By ED WHEEL AN mm mm S H Reeves post of the American le gion ana the Silverton high school boys together with other. Silverton organizations are behind the move ment and it seems that there is little doubt but that It will be effective this time. The tract of land being considered belongs to the Coolidge estate and is situ ated above the city park on Lib erty hill. The estate has signified a willingness to arrangeior the leasing of the ground. PUBLIC NOTICES Notice of Intention to Improve Court Street From Eighteenth Street to Mill Creek.
