With a refreshing rain has come a renewed spirit 'among the golf era. The members of the team are busy . developing their game and the tournament committee ex pects to have a series of inter club tournaments ' beginning in September. The vacationists will all be back and the team prom . ises to be a great .improvement over those of the past. It Is alto gether probable that there will be a team of 24 men from which to choose a 16-man team for the con tests. The tournament committee announces definite dates as fol lows: September 7, Illahee Country clnb will entertain on its grounds in a 16-man team match, the Eastmoi eland Golf club of Port land. .September 14, the Illahee club will entertain the Rose City club at Salem. September 21, Sa lem will send a' 16-man team for a return match at Eastmoreland So far these are all the games that have been actually scheduled but several other matches will be announced shortly. It is hoped that the Illahee members will de posit their score cards at the club house with a little more frequency in order that the tournament com mittee may be able to choose its team a little earlier In the season so as to perfect team play, j Not very many of the Illahee members participated in the Gear- hart .tournament but those who did made a very good showing, .especially Ercel Kay in the men's tournament and Mrs. "VW M.
