Animals Attract Crowd All day Saturday there was a group of people in front of the J. C. Perry drug store, watching the antics of a variety of animals on exhibition in the front win-J dow. Chief of these were several kinds of kittens. A feature of the display was a small wolf pup, a young dog and a cat that occupied the same portion of the window. Hug," superintendent of the Salem schools, has completed five weeks of the nine weeks YMCA boys' camp at Spirit Lake. While at camp he won the championship of his class as an all-around ath-: lete. M A10 School Will He Closed In all probability the Washing ton school J will not be opened this year to accommodate grade pupils, according to George W Hug, superintendent, who has prer pared figures showing the useless- ness of utilizing the old building Owing to a readjustment of the school boundaries in ' the city there are only 95 eligible to at tend the Washington school. Costs of maintaining the building, such as salaries of extra principal, teachers and janitor, in adition to heating, will not warrant the use of the building.
