Announcement
I
THE ROTH GROCERY CO. takes pleasure in announc- '
ing the opening of their. Fresh Meat Department on
Friday Morning, April 25
Having built a grocery, business of large volume in Sa
lem by strictly adhereing tp the policy of selling only the '
best food obtainable, keeping our store in a sanitary con- O
dition and giving a friendly an4 courteous service to. all,
it will be the same policy in our new department.
A sanitary meat market in connection with the modern
food establishment is the: latest development in the busi
ness of distributing foods as practiced in all the larger
cities. It enables the customer to purchase all her re- ?
quiremenjts on one order, have it all delivered at one time v
and all handled in one account. ;
. A new refrigerating system, a cooler and show cases of
the latest-design and construction have-been r installed ,
with the idea of absolutely the best' in sanitation.
As a large part of the success of a fresh meat depart
ment depends on the! manager, and meat cutter, we con
sider ourselves fortunate in obtaining the service of Mr. '
Carl Mordhorst, who for many years cateredjto the wants -of
a fine residential district of Portland and for several .
years was branch manager of one of the large packers in '
, the state of Washington. ' ; i
We invite you to call and, see this new. department, get .
acquainted with the managerand tell us justwhat'you ,
want us to do to swerve you properly. This will enable us
to give your telephone orders bettor attention.
