Ball was set at $500, which he was unable to furnish. Larsisky hurled a steak and platter through a plate glass window when the meat failed to appeal to his peculiar sensibili ties.' Crawford of La Grande, well known to many Willamette valley people, died at his home there yesterday, accord ing to information reaching Salem. Judge Crawford was a leading democrat and was campaign man ager for Governor Pierce' fn the last gubernatorial race. He was a member of the board of regents of Oregon Agricultural college. Sheft of San Francisco entered a plea of guilty to possession of intoxicat ing liquor when he was arraigned in justice court yesterday. Sen tence will be passed by P. , J. Kelly -yesterday sustained a demurrer ot the de fendant in the case of Watson Bloom against Dr. J. C. Deaf Mute Released Frank Stutzman received a sen tence of six months and was then paroled when he was tried in Port land ,for obtaining money under false pretenses. His wife was re leased. The couple were arrested here over the week-end and held for Portland authorities. He was found guilty ot a statutory charge involv ing a minor Newberg girl on the preceding day. Notice was given that the case will be appealed to the supreme court for final de termination.
