est commission will serve for a
term of four years.
Milton A. Miller Named
On Text-Book Commission
Milton A. Miller of Portland,
who is now a candidate for Unit
ed States senator at the democra
tic primary election next May,
yesterday was appointed a member
of the state text-book commission.
He will succeed Harrison O. Piatt
of Portland, who has resigned be
cause of ill health. Announce
ment of the appointment was
made by Governor Pierce.
