Star as Football Coach MIDDLETOWN, Conn., Feb! 4. fWoodrow Wilson, when profes sor of history and political i econ omy at Wesleyan university: from 1888 to 1890. made his mark as a football coach. He helped ad vise an offense which upset pre vious Wesleyan methods. He con tracted the line to three men and moved the backs Into positions' from which they made crisa cross plays, while their own plunging' line held attention of the defen sive opposing team. The tactics carried Wesleyan to victory over University of Pennsylvania and paved the way for a drop,' kick against Harvard, then regarded as a remarkable accomplishment SALEM MARKETS t - i GEALsT AND BAT Vo. 3 wheat No. S red wheat.
