Roberts of Reedsport immediately after Roberts had been sentenced to serve five years in the state penitentiary; for his . connection with an alleged booze ring- at Reedsport! The pardon was a re ward for his having turned state's evidence against Fred" Schulte and Jack Conley, who also were sen tenced to serve five years.
