address, Mr. Lindbeck, Mr. Lee
and other old members declared
that at no time during the past
year haa their net returns from
their egg product marketed
through the association been less

market at such times, and that on
many .dates their returns were
from 2 . to 6 cents ' above local
market prices. , ,
At the closed of the addresses
many poultrymen came forward
and signed the new contract and
practically all of the old mem
bers signed up again. -
A number of . prominent poul

pendence and the Jefferson dis
tricts, : including Director Willis
Small,-of Independence, and sev

It was an enthusiastic and very
successful , meeting, characteristic
of all the meetings of, this nature

Debate Leaders Chosen
for Willamette University
In preparation for the Inter-
class debates the various classes
at Willamette have selected their
debating teams.
Ralph Emmons will lead the so
phomore arguers . with Warren
Day as his colleague. : Mr. Em
mons attended Northwestern uni
versity last ypar and was leader
of the ' freshman debate team
there. He also was Oregon state
champion 'debater when he led the
Salem high school team in 1921.

having debated for his class last
year.
The Junior team is" composed of
Dan Taylor and Rawson Chapin,
both of whom have had work In
public speaking before.
Composing the freshman team

The senior representatives will

The first debate which will be
between the sophomores and the
freshmen will be held on the af
ternoon, of December 10.
The first debate will be a dual
affair with contests between the

between the winners of the first
two debates.
The question for the first de
bate is "Resolved: That the Unit
ed States supreme court should be

This same question will be used
in the debate between the Willam
ette freshmen and the OAC fresh
men, which will take place after
