In a hectic second round, the
challenger retaliated for the tell
ing blows of Herman which had
found their mark in the first. The
two resorted to in-fighting in the
first round, trading blows at close
quarters. When Gibbons extend
ed himself In the second, utiliz
ing his footwork and unloosed his
punch, Herman, worn down, was
unable to stem the furious attacks.
