Charging that on or about Sep-
tember 11, the J. T. Bond Candy
company illegally sold package
candy, the state of Oregon by W.
B. Dungan, deputy food and dairy
commissioner, has commenced ac-
tioon against the company. The
complaint relates that the con-
tents of packages were not clearly
marked on the outside as is re -
quired by legal statue.

terday. -Mrs. Putnam in her com
plaint alleges that her husband
subjected her to cruel and inhu
man treatment, reviling her with
oaths and inflicting personal in.

cites, her husband twice knocked
her to the floor, bruising her face
and endangering her life. Mrs.
Putnam seeks a divorce, perma
nent control of the child, a month
ly alimony of $50 and costs. The
couple were married June, 1918.
