As it was, it. was my idea entirely I suggested it to Grantland." , (To he continued) DB. EPLEY HITS suras on tmp Local Director of Whitney Chorus Hopes for Large Salem Contingent Dr. H. C. Epley.'Salem director for the Whitney Boys' chorus,' is anxious to know how many boys are going to Portland next week to sing with the Portland and ether branches of the organiza tion at the Rose festival. The final rehearsal in Salem will be Tuesday night of the coin ing week. The Salem contingent of the chorus will go to Portland Thursday, , and Thursday night will be the final dress rehearsal or the entire chortts on Multno mah field. The boys will put cn their public program in Portland Friday and Saturday nightsi and Sunday afternoon. For the benefit of Salem par ents who fear their boys will not be well cared for in Portland, Dr. Epley explains that they will be cared for by the best families in that city,, most of them parents who have boys in the Portland chorus. When the boys want to go places they win be properly accompanied, and oh any excur sion trips will be accompanied by men. The Portland members of the chorus will have rehearsals in Portland Saturday and Sunday, and Dr. Epleyjurges any Salem members who can possibly attend these rehearsals to dp so.
